- SUBSTITUTE NURSE
RESPONSIBLE TO: Health Services Supervisor
SCHEDULE & HOURS:- Intermittent hours as needed in health offices (elementary or secondary building) and field trips.
- Health office hours are based on school calendar. Length varies depending on need: up to 8 hours a day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide first aid care of injured or ill students/staff.
- Administer medications and treatments to students (e.g. glucose testing, medication administration, tube feeding, etc.) following written orders. Document care provided in electronic data base.
- Respond to health emergencies, administer CPR and first aid as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and data privacy
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Maintain and update health records, immunization files, and records.
- Conduct health care assessment and decision making based on medical knowledge and licensure
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:- LPN's - $25.98 per hour; RNs - $31.42 per hour
- This position does not include benefits as it is a non contracted position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse License, Current First Aid and CPR certification, Computer Literacy

- Ability to function with a minimum of supervision
