Back to School FREE Vaccination Clinic
A special “Back2School” Vaccination Clinic for students entering grades 7-12 this fall will be held Wednesday, August 27 from 1:30-4:00 p.m. at the Dakota County Western Service Center in Apple Valley, 14955 Galaxie Ave.
Three vaccinations will be provided at no cost:
- tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis/whooping cough (Tdap)
- meningococcal (bacteria that causes meningitis)
- HPV (human papillomavirus, which can cause cancer)
The vaccines have been provided through a federal vaccine fund. Dakota County Public Health is offering the vaccinations to help families take this important step to protect the health of adolescents.
The Back2School clinic is walk-in only - no appointment required. Children must be accompanied by an adult and each child must have a signed permission form from their parent or legal guardian. Parents should bring the child’s immunization records, if available.
Please help us promote the clinic – a flyer in English and Spanish is attached. More information and forms are available on the Dakota County website or by calling the Immunization Information Line at 952-891-7999.
Dakota County Public Health also provides a range of immunizations for children and adults at walk-in clinics or by appointment. For more information, check the website or call 952-891-7528 to talk to a staff person.
