In response to the growing need to have an affordable alternative transportation system for the city's residents\, DARTS has been working with the Hastings Transportation Option Advisory Board for the past several months to design and implement a new LOOP service that will provide a Dial-A-Ride transportation service with scheduled stops with point deviation around the city. This customized service offers both planned stops and the flexibility to request a stop nearby.\n\nThe preview of this new LOOP service will take place on August 26th at a 9 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony at Tilden Community Center (310 River Street\, Hastings\, MN 55033). The ceremony will be part of the "50 & Beyond: Live Well\, Celebrate Life" expo. Acting Mayor Danna Elling Schultz will be present to say a few words on this exciting transportation service.
